News Release: Canada's Newest Urban Record Label Darkside Entertainment Music Group

March 25th, 2010- Toronto, Canada- Darkside Entertainment Music Group (D.E.M.G) is a Canadian-based, record label specializing in hip hop music. It was founded by CAIN (Christopher Mathew Pinto) and his artist/partners; Apocalypse (J.Anderson), BLAKFASE, Domestic aka Madd Child (S.Nelson) Beat Savage, O/Z (oh’Zee) (S.Skinner), MASHONE aka MASHFACE (S.Savariau), Fuzzy J (B.Mckenzie), ShortFuse, and other affiliated partners in the entertainment industry since 2000. DEMG operates on its own, and is distributed through, PHANTOM DISTRIBUTION/SDCD/CDBABY. 

Started in the year 2000, Christopher 'Mat' Pinto also known in the entertainment community as "CAiN" pressed on in the growing urban music industry in Toronto Canada along with partners “Shortfuse” and “Fuzzy J”. After leaving an education in Business Administration at Humber College in 2001, “Cain” went on to focus his efforts on publishing and building the D.E.M.G. label. Opening as a sole-proprietorship in 2005, the organization has grown since then continuously making additions to their growing catalog of music and DVD releases from Toronto,Canada to the Caribbean city of Kingston, Jamaica.

In 2009 D.E.M.G. branded the label with new artists such as Apocalypse, Blakfase, Cain, Tex, KingzSpade,  O/Z, FreyZee and Juvon Taylor on drum pounding instrumentals from in house artist/producers as well as hard hitting productions from Naweed Burhanzai (Naweed Productions), Smokeshop Productionz, Blazewun, Dope Azz Productions & Beat Savage/Get It Dun Productions. FreyZee best known for his youtube video “BTown Hospitality” (youtube: 16,000 + hits due to street promotions). For 2010 we have taken on productions from producers Simima Beats, Vybez Beats, Bravestar, Royal Audio Tunes, Johnny Juliano and Koncept Beats. DEMG plans to market their 2010 releases worldwide with the concept being that of having a select set of producers located strategically across the globe.

The D.E.M.G. 2010 campaign will consist of urban music for the hip hop soul, with a touch of R&B and Reggae. Pop culture melodic chorus' and verses combined to create campus and commercial radio playable singles immersing the new “CAiN” album (Release Date: 04-19-2010) from start to finish. This Year CAiN, D.E.M.G. and its artists are looking for major recognition and major label distribution; as well DEMG is working towards a radio charting campaign that will lead us to the ECMA for 2011 among other events. DEMG has been granted the MuchFACT website award for (www.DarksideMusicGroup.com) for 2010 and plans include to cross advertise with other industry affiliated contacts.
