Public Relations and Event Management Agency - Eventobe, Cancels Annual Revo Show and Dance to Sponsor Youth Social and Violence Project at Happy Hill Secondary School in Grenada After Student Death

(Toronto, ON- March 14, 2013)- The 8th Annual Revo Show and Dance was to mark the 34th anniversary of the 1979 Grenadian Revolution. Organizer Louise Noel-Ambrose made the unique decision to change plans upon hearing the tragic murder of 17 year old student Alex Gabriel by a 13 year old female student at Happy Hill Secondary School in Grenada. The traumatic event occurred on school grounds in front of many students and staff. In response to the school's principal Ann Marie Phillip, non-profit organization Motiv-8 created a crime reduction and social program called "Project STOP 'n' Think" for students, parents and staff. The 10 sessions are currently taking place at the school between March 11, 2013 until March 15, 2013. Eventobe decided to financially sponsor the necessary project for the school, due to the social impact it would have on the greater society in Grenada.
Lousie Noel-Ambrose, CEO of Eventobe explains, "After a deal of meditation, I made the decision not to host the annual Revo Show and Dance in Toronto this year. I am known as a publicist, community supporter, but I am also an activist. I felt obligated to redirect my energy to our Grenadian youth of Happy Hill Secondary School, by offering financial support and to bring awareness of the tremendous work of Neal Chitan of motiv-8 through the Stop N Think project. I know the best thing I can do for my country and diaspora at this time is to continue to give back and stand in unity with those who seek positive changes at home and abroad."

About Project STOP 'n' Think:
Developed by Motiv-8 (www.motiv-8.org), 10 powerful sessions are designed to help students, staff and parents cope with post traumatic stress of the homicide of Alex Gabriel, while equipping them with the tools and strategies to avoid future episodes of crime and violence
