Grenada Day Cultural Association Announces 2014 Festival Theme and 1st Annual Miss Grenada Day Pageant


(Toronto, Canada- April 4, 2014) - Grenada Day Cultural Association announces their theme for the 8th annual Grenada Day Festival as, "40 YEARS - ONE PEOPLE", to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Grenada's independence. The festival takes place on Saturday August 23, 2013 at Coronation Park, located at 2700 Eglinton Avenue West.  

Grenada Day Festival is the largest Diaspora celebration, with over 8,000 people attending each year in Toronto, and celebrates  the culture and people of the island of Grenada, and its sister islands; Carriacou and Petite Martinique. The full day event consists of live performances by local and international entertainers, music, arts and craft, food, activities for the whole family and more.

Miss Grenada Day Pageant:
This year the Grenada Day Cultural Association will be hosting the first annual Miss Grenada Day Pageant. 8 final contestants will represent the diverse parishes of Grenada during the evening of Saturday July 19, 2014 at the Fairview Library Theatre. Each contestants will compete in different categories ranging from cultural, talent, swimsuit and more.
