It’s been difficult but we’re determined and we continue to fundraise through a public raffle,” said Rowe. “It’s also great to partner with Roots Canada once again for the launch. This year’s show will not disappoint and we’re excited to announce the lineup of artists.”
Aisha Wickham Thomas, Executive Director of the Canadian Independent Recording Artists Association (CIRAA) and a member of PhemPhat's Board of Directors, will also speak about PhemPhat's educational initiative educational initiative at the Harris Institute for the Arts.
Roots Canada will have a store offer to launch patrons of 25% off regular priced items and music for the evening will be provided by resident PhemPhat Dj MelBoogie. Female graffiti artist EGR Art will also be on display (www.egrart.com). Gift bags will be provided for the first 50 attendees.
Proceeds from this year’s Honey Jam, taking place August 16th inside the Mod Club, will support YWCA Toronto's programs for women and girls. Representatives from YWCA Toronto will be present at the launch with an information booth about the great work they're doing in the community.
