(Toronto, ON- November 17, 2010) The city of Toronto has some of the most spectacular talent in the world. What better name than to title an evening filled with up and coming artists on one stage as "The Jump Off", to define the start of their careers? Artists taking the stage include singer/songwriter and producer; Tuzzy, talented musician; The Violinist, 2009 Much Music Dance Off Finalist; Twisted Ankles, and rock group; Last Bullet. Music is provided by The House Kings, and the show is hosted by Emcee Orrico. On Friday December 10th, the "Jump Off" will be taken place at the legendary Opera House, located at 735 Queen Street Ease in downtown, Toronto. Doors open at 9P.M. Tickets are available at the door for $20, which includes food provided by Pizza Pizza, and the chance to win prizes.
A portion of the proceeds from the Jump Off will be donated to the Canada Fights Human Trafficking organization.
Why support this cause?
Human Trafficking is the second largest organized crime in the world. Estimated as a $32 billion illegal industry annually, which is more than what major companies such as Google, Nike and Starbucks generate in revenues combined. Presently, there are approximately 27 Million people world-wide enslaved. Most of them are women and children, which is a disheartening fact.
