2014 GRENADA DAY FESTIVAL TAKES PLACE THIS SATURDAY AUGUST 23rd - BIGGER AND BETTER


(August 18, 2014- Toronto, ON) - The 8th Annual Grenada Day Festival is only days away and anticipated to be the largest ever with close to 8,000 people ready to celebrate Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique's culture, history and 40th year of Independence. 

Grenada Day Cultural Association announces this year's theme as, "40 YEARS - ONE PEOPLE", to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Grenada's independence. The festival takes place on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Coronation Park, located at 2700 Eglinton Avenue West. The event begins at 11A.M. to 9P.M. A number of Grenadian artists were flown in to perform such as Squeezy, Tangler,  Papa Jerry, Penny and Kirton. There is a guest DJ from Atlanta, many cultural performances and door prizes to be won.

With every $10 donation at the entrance, the public can win one of 2 round trip flights to Grenada, and many other prizes. This year Grenada Day Festival also has a slew of special guests and dignitaries, including many mayoral candidates such as Olivia Chow and Dewitt Lee.
