Toronto, Canada - April, 2011 - TelAfric Television Network is North America's first African owned Television Network featuring an array of diverse channels from around the global African diaspora, with programming in film, music, sports, news, talk shows, soaps and more. The TV Network has officially launched its website, which is currently running for a limited time, free video content on the Nigerian elections, news, music videos and more. Soft launch events have taken place in the cities of Atlanta, Georgia at ICON Lounge, and The Houston Museum of African American Culture in Houston, Texas. The official launch event takes place in Toronto, Canada in June 2011. 


TelAfric Television Network provides 24/7 access to prime ethnic focused television channels and programmes that cater to the viewing tastes of peoples of African descent from around the world. The mission of TelAfric Television Network is to complement the extremely limited number of broadcast channels available to the African Diaspora population in North America. The channels being offered by TelAfric Television are BEN TV, Original Black Entertainment TV (OBE TV), HiTV, Shakes Entertainment TV (SETV), Kairos Afro-Gospel Channel, African Diaspora Channel (ADTV), and 2 pay per-view channels offering movies.
